Turn ChatGPT output into a PowerPoint deck β€” in 90 seconds

Paste any ChatGPT response, brainstorm, or outline. SlideGMM detects headings and bullet structure, picks a template, and produces an editable PowerPoint deck β€” no manual slide-building.

How to convert ChatGPT output into slides

  1. Prompt ChatGPT for slide-friendly output

Ask ChatGPT to format the answer with H2 headings (##) and bullet lists rather than prose paragraphs. The phrase "structure this as a 10-slide presentation outline with one H2 per slide" produces materially better deck output than asking for a generic answer.

  2. Copy markdown β€” not the rendered HTML

Click the copy icon under the ChatGPT response (markdown source). If you select-and-copy the rendered text, you lose heading levels and SlideGMM has to re-infer slide boundaries from spacing alone.

  3. Paste into SlideGMM (up to 50K chars)

SlideGMM detects markdown structure (## β†’ slide title, - β†’ bullets, ``` β†’ code blocks rendered as monospaced inserts). Long responses over 50K characters need to be split into 2–3 paste batches.

  4. Lock the slides you love before regenerating

If 6 of 10 generated slides are right but 4 need work, lock the good ones (small lock icon top-right) and re-prompt only the unlocked. Without locking, regenerate replaces all 10 and you lose what was working.

  5. Export β€” code blocks survive .pptx export

Unlike Gamma (which flattens code to images), SlideGMM's .pptx export keeps code blocks as editable text boxes with monospace fonts. Useful for technical talks where audience asks "can you copy that snippet from the deck."

Frequently asked questions

  • Up to 50,000 characters per paste β€” about a 60-page document. For longer outputs, paste in two or three batches.

  • Yes. Any AI output with clear headings and bullets converts well. Claude's longer-form responses tend to produce especially clean decks.

  • Manual paste lands ChatGPT text into one slide as a wall of bullets. SlideGMM splits the response into 8–15 slides with headings, layouts, and visual variety β€” a real deck, not a text dump.
